ACORNSQU.TXT E-1 BAKED ACORN SQUASH (Leigha) 1 acorn squash per person butter or margarine brown sugar 1. Cut top of squash off at an angle to make a lid, clean out all of the seed. 2. Fill squash alternately with butter and brown sugar. 3. Put the lid back on the squash. 4. Put aluminum foil aaround the squash to cover bottom and sides. 5. Place in a baking dish and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for about 1 1/2 hours or until butter and sugar are melted and inside of squash is tender. APLRINGS.TXT SAUTEED APPLE RINGS 3 large apples 2 Tbs butter/margarine 2 Tbs brown sugar 3/4 tsp cinnamon 1. Peel, core, and slice the apples. 2. In a skillet, melt butter. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. 3. Add apples, tossing to coat them. 4. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionaly, for 10 - 15 minutes. ASPARCAS.TXT ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE 2 cans green asparagus spears 4 hard boiled eggs, sliced 1 can mushroom soup crushed soda crackers grated cheddar cheese 1. In a baking dish, make two layers of each ingredient in the following order: asparagus, sliced egg, cracker crumbs, cheese and soup. 2. Bake at 350 degrees until soup is bubbling and the cheese is melted.
