BROCRICE.TXT E-2 BROCCOLI AND RICE CASSEROLE 20 oz pk frozen broccoli cuts 1 8 oz jar cheese whiz 1 cup cooked rice 1 can cream of mushroom soup or chicken mushroom soup 1. Put broccoli cuts in boiling water and cook until hot. Drain and put in a large bowl. 2. Stir in the cheese whiz until melted. (You can make it zestier with salsa cheese whiz or jalapeno cheese whiz) 3. Stir in the rice and soup. (Do not use cream of chicken soup) 4. Pour the mixture in a 9X9 (or 8X11) baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour or until it is hot and bubbly in the middle. BKDAPPLE.TXT MICROWAVE BAKED APPLES 6 medium ROME apples 6 Tbs brown sugar washed and cored 3 Tbs butter or margarine 1/2 tsp cinnamon NOTE: When you core the apples, do not go through the bottom. 1. Make a shallow cut in the skin about 1 inch from the bottom of each apple. Put apples in a 12X7 baking dish. 2. Put 1 tbsp brown sugar and 1/2 tbsp butter in the center of each apple. Sprinkle with cinnamon. 3. Cover with waxed paper. Nuke on high for 10 to 14 minutes (until tender). 4. Let stand, covered, for 3 minutes before serving. For 2 apples, use individual custard cups or serving bowls and nuke for 3 - 4 minutes.
