OATRSNCK.TXT G-23 OATMEAL AND RAISIN COOKIES 1 cup shortening 2 tsp soda 2 cups sugar 1 tsp salt 4 eggs 2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 cup milk 2 cups seedless raisins 3 cups sifted flour 3 1/3 cups quick cooking oats 1. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and milk thoroughly. 2. Blend in flour sifted together with soda, salt, and cinnamon. 3. Stir in raisins and oatmeal. 4. Drop by teaspoonfuls on to greased baking sheet. 5. Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 minutes. SBERYDEL.TXT STRAWBERRY DELIGHT 2 cups graham cracker crumbs 3/4 cup butter/margarine, melted 3/4 cup sugar, divided 1 8 oz pk cream cheese 1 8 oz pk Cool Whip 2 3 oz pk strawberry jello 2 cups water, boiling 2 10 oz pk frozen strawberries 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix cracker crumbs, butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Pat into a 9 X 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes, and cool completely. 3. Mix cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth and creamy, then stir in the cool whip. Spread over the crust. 4. Disolve the jello in the water, stir in the strawberries, allowing the mix to thicken slightly. Pour over the cream cheese layer. 5. Chill and cut in squares. Serve chilled.
