SSMTBALL.TXT SWEET AND SOUR MEAT BALLS 1 1/2 lb ground beef 3/4 cup oatmeal 1 5 oz can water chestnuts, 1/2 tsp onion salt finely chopped 1/2 tsp garlic salt 1 Tbs soy sauce 1 egg 1/2 c milk (a little less) 1. Mix and make into 60 bite size balls. 2. Brown in oil until cooked (browned). SAUCE 1 8 1/2 oz can crushed pineapple 1 cup brown sugar 2 Tbs cornstarch 1 cup beef bouillon 1/2 cup vinegar 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 2 tsp soy sauce 3. In a saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch, bouillon, vinegar, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. 4. Stir in the pineapple and green pepper. Add the meatballs and cook 10 minutes.
