CHNEWPOT.TXT CHEESY NEW POTATOES 12 med new potatoes (red), 1/2 cup margarine, melted unpeeled and cut in cubes 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup fully cooked bacon pieces 2 cups (8 oz) shredded sharp 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley cheddar cheese (garnish) 1. Cover potatoes with salted water, bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook about 15 minutes (until tender). Drain and cool slightly. 2. Add butter and pepper and toss lightly. 3. Spoon half of the mixture into a greased 3 qt casserole. Top with half of the bacon and cheese. Repeat layers. 4. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
